Each Saturday* from 8.30 am to 3 pm more than 300 stalls pop up along the gracious, tree-lined and historic Salamanca Place to showcase arts, crafts, jewellery, fresh food and produce, collectables and homewares.
First held in 1972, Tasmania’s most visited attraction has grown from a small collection of informal traders to a beloved institution, described by many visitors as the “best market in Australia”. Look out for some of the things that make Salamanca Market so special:
